But here I am (nice song by bryan adams) aspiring again to be a known blogger. Thats what i like about myself....i tend to do the opposite of what others around do...I have realized this lately that when others are having fun, i go serious with studies or similar stuff but when others are slogging (for end terms or placements), Parag Mehra tends to do the unexpected. Perhaps this is the cause of my average grades (now average ..earlier they were low...so thanks to ADMAP)

Anyways today I introspected and conclusion was I have been smiling very less. Deep down I developed myself to remain calm but this self correction got to an undesired degree which turned me into stone faced, serious guy which I am not. Smile is an asset which needs to be cherished. Infact it use to be forte at one time. Somewhere in this competitive surroundings I unconsciously developed the notion that seriousness is an essential trait of BIGGIES (ya even I aspire to be one). But it is not true. We need to smile, we need to joke around, we need to talk a lot. It doesn't matter if all that makes no sense but do that in front of your friends. I need not be one of those serious guys who are boring company to people around.

GOAL 1: Adopt 3 S (Uh...structure thinking...MBA). Speak, Smile and Sanguine

Yesterday I went to a penthouse. I rang the bell and servant opened the door, directed me to the luxurious guest room with all mahogany woodwork, murals of Hussain, Goswami and others with exquisite Indian classical music collection on a shelf nearby and a huge display of books and novels. I was in awe with the owner, who has got a taste for art. I waited for 5 minutes carefully admiring the house. Then he came downstairs---seems like an composed guy, cheerful by his looks, his presence shows nothing like arrogance. Carefully watching I realized that he looks like somebody I know very well. But i was not able to recall.

No problem...I spoke to him for sometime and then he courteously asked to have homemade laddo and halwa. I can die for such things especially after vrindi, mess and shree krishna food which has killed my taste buds.
Note: All the non S.P Jain junta ...these are 3 most economical and available local restaurants for us.

Halwa and ladoos were incomparable to anything I have had in the past few months after coming back from home. They tasted just like my home. When I was about to leave he smilingly asked me to meet his family. I said "my pleasure". Then came out my mother, father and another beautiful lady. HUHA..Now I noticed it hard enough that this guy is me....mua...So this is a dream. The worst part of a dream is the moment you realize that you are dreaming....best portions of it start to fade off.....so then I came back to my hostel bed..woke up and saw my roomies sleeping. But I enjoyed the trip.
NOTE: That beautiful lady ....another dream..will talk about it later :)

My last entry here ..the number 50th one :) ( it really feels great when nobody is reading my space and my efforts are bearing some fruits ..read comments ...after soo much insistence and persuance even using force on my colleagues in office to read my blog) have got 5 comments as of now . Some of the comments are really adding value to the discussion I raised in the blog.

There are some mind boggling problems all around us on individual level as well as for the nation . My aim is to just draw the facts, no opinions ( even if i am inclined towards any ...the reasoning should be rational...and it should be presented strongly but not adamantly). I believe few are soo much entangled that it is least possible to come to a conclusion but writing it here and ofcourse forcing everybody( else nobody wants to look on the darker sides and is contended with his own small world which after some time turns him complacent) will get some inputs which can infact built a what i can call opinion pool where just by sharing our ideas we can ENLIGHTEN ourselves

I have just returned from my team party.

Not feeling to write anymore

Tujhe pata hai......(aricent EP2 discussion)

Please dont think on the topic too much ...you wont get anything conclusive ...as expected:)

Today I saw a banner advertising for a kindergarden. The advertisement had all the keywords such as learning, fun games, etc etc ...(well actually i can help them coining really good catchy phrases but they are not paying me so I wont write them here .....hehe another reason can be that I am not able to recollect them) .There was one phrase that caught my eye ....the building is built on DDA land...for all the non delhites, although I assume that they can recall the MCD drive which is hovering on all news channels and somewhere has not been tackled properly by our media, but might not relate to it with deserving compassion.Infact I believe even delhites not directly been affected by it do not understand the gravity of the problem..... yahaan peit ka sawaal hai. I think the banner provides an example of the penetration of some controversial decisions, affecting all our thinking process , modulates our acceptance level of anything remotely connected to the issue.
Lets put some facts first
We all agree that planning of the capital has gone haywire. Infact there is no planning visible
visible, there are commercial entities sprouting in every residential area.Is that what we expect to project to the whole world , we are expecting to be induced in the united nation security council, a business hub of the world ( more precisely offshore service hub) where business executives visit often and complain about the degraded, messy infrastructure and take back this belief to their country. So when the time arises when India looses its low cost advantage then all our business allies would turn to say african continent who are yet to realize or should i say reap the profits. We need to project ourselves as a incredible country with credible business friendly nation. Dont we get the first image of a place by its visual likability ( i dont whether that word exist). We all sing praises of phoren country because it is well planned.
Hence we need to uproot the weeds from our crops

Now the million dollar question is whether the weeds and so deep rooted that they cannot be pulled out wiithout affecting the plant itself. The small shops , small departmantal stores, saree shops , book store ......other innumerable dukane in the residential areas are running well and are feeding ( here feeding implies prosperous) whole families. I agree that the families are or with god's grace will never starve for food but therewould definately be few upheavels in their lives and chances are that there will be a considerable fall in their standard of living.
Believe me being poor doesn't hurt any human that much when the misery is compared to that of becoming poor from being rich . Its the fall that hurts you the most.I have heard several stories where the whole families are ruined because their shops were sealed and they had no other alternative source of earnings

I believe these are facts and perhaps i have missed some ......this can go for ever. I finfd myself incapable of arriving to a decision. When I put these fors and against on a weight balance , I dont know which side is heavier but for our country holding the weight balance itself seems tiring and frustrating. I wish there is some miracle and we get everything without suffering much.

Pehchaan kaun???........edited

The tale began from 1940 when he graduated in physics and joined the Tata group. He was not at all happy with the way his career was moving , had an inclination towards becoming nuclear scientist but here he was stuck with tata steel where dissatisfaction gripped him. So breaking the bonds he applied for further studies , won a scholarship but for dairy engineering . Resisted hard , tried convincing the education officer (then a british) but to no avail. He completed his degree in dairy engineering when he had no interest in the field. He returned to india where his supervisors wished him to join the government job. here also it was high tide for him because he requested to be released from the bond ( which came with the scholarship) but there was something pulling him in the seemingly uninterested dark pit. He was left with no choice but to join the job offered. For continously 8 months he kept writing letters to department secretary where he expalined his frustrations from this unproductive job and in the end government accepted his resignation. When he was ready to leave the dairy department his senior requested him to stay for a short while .This short stay stretched for months and then years . he became the head of the department and we all are proud on him.
This man is Dr Verghese Kurien

Amazed with the unsettling turns in his life .....where fate was working with its full intensity....took him where he can do his best...
nothing to comment ..***************.just pondering whether it happens with everybody...i wonder that when it comes to me i can identify the opportunities on time and can do justice with it.

*************** One of my friend told me that there was nothing to comment in the blog because there are no insights on the topic ...and i feel the same that its a mere factual description. I now remember why i didn't elaborate on it ....i was missing 5.30 bus . This opportunity comes rarely and to me after some 2 weeks of continous misery in the lab. hence i traded it with an incomplete blog entry
but compensating for it ....let me share my thoughts
We all are often advised that planning is what is required to fulfill all the dreams . But my experience tells me that there are situations when all your planning takes a U turn and strikes back on you . In such situations, when nothing is going your way I recall these words " when we dream of something ,the whole universe conspires to help us realize our dreams"
So I thing even if odds are against you .....dont get bogged down ...hold on ...
This is the least we can do because when quit , we unnecessarily gets entangled into idleness and depression which only worsens the situation.Such an act stretches the time to be pulled out of the swamp.
On a lighter node...just dont take life too seriously
Some times you are ahead , sometimes you are behind
Don't berate yourself too much , neither congratulate yourself because all your success and failure are half chanced

Note : Please dont take me seriously because at present its a battle being fought and i am the general..after all its my life :) . So for the readers take a chill ....enjoy the frigid breeze (interesting oxymoron :) and BE HAPPY
I guess i should start telling jokes here in the end of all my blogs :)

DAAN PUNN KARO

philanthropy is the word thats in the mind of everybody (that includes me as well) when going to a blind school or an orphanage . But it often strikes me that are we really helping them or helping ourselves. Is it not our inflated ego that is amplified when we see somebody genuflecting before us. The idea is to get the feeling of being absolute ...GOD...same centuries old ,unreachable human dream . In the end we realize that it is we who were at mercy of the other people. It just takes pico seconds ( thats my style :) ) and table is turned .

I think our country baskets very high percentage of poverty stricken even with our centuries old culture and values of daan punn because somewhere we don't intend to remove the necessatous and just wish to complete a ritual. The approach i support is that we should still be doing it for ourselves but with broadening our thinking , with a belief that it is our aim of life which needs to be fulfilled like all other wishes.
just a vague thought ...u can disagree till you realize the same :)

money can't buy life ...HAh

They say money can't buy life .....WRONG
My experiences teach me that its the money buying the minutes of life (derived from Minutes of Meeting). Recently my brother fell ill and was to be operated for the kidney stones . He has been bearing the pain time and again , but everytime these CaCO3( :) its high time to revise chemistry buddy) would flow out after several sessions of nature calls. This time they somewhere got blocked and according to doctors , this was putting strain on his kidneys . mamu .....plagiarism from munnabhai mbbs ... advised us for immediate operation . It was to be a small , hardly 20 minutes operation where patients can go out the very next day. There was an estimation of at most 15 grands . So we were expecting quite a few facilities from the nursing home. and yes there were free snacks ....khichhdi for the patient and yes video highlights of the operation for the family ...which we assumed was to defeat the chances of any lawsuit by patients family in future claiming negligence or superficial approach

The operation went well , my brother was kept under observation in the nursing home for a day Next day the hospital bill arrived ...and wow it was of 40 thousand ....we tried haggling with the doctor but our efforts turned out zilch...ultimately we paid the whole amount .
Later dad commented that khichhdii costed us 5000 , and a tea from their cafetaria 500

The question arises that we had the money so we got the service, but what about those daily wage earners , the rikshaw puller , infact this amount can dry all the bank accounts of a low middle class family . So if a family member falls ill life is doomed for them. What are they expected to do ...become john abhrahim of DHOOM or hrithik roshan of dhoom 2.
Send me your prefrences

ignorance is BLISS?

This is a story of a young , inexperienced boy, leading his life under the tutelage of his ministers ,no knowledge of the outside world , living in his own little , peaceful pond (kuuen ka mandak). This boy had the knack of procrastrinating anything disturbing to his kingdom. Then suddenly there were kaale badal all over , when few of the visitors to this pond told about a world outside his limits , beyond his reach ( atleast for the time being) . Still being the king , the rex's urge pushed him to enter into this challenge and expand his limits to the new horizons. Although his pupils discouraged him from leaving his territory ( it's questionable whether they had doubts on his capabilties or they were satisfied with his rule then and there) to the distant ,seemingly unconquerable destination. He fought valiantly , his first battle , couldn't win the pride he was aiming for , again another battle , this time barely managed to conquer some of the new fertile land where he dreamt to build his evolving empire. He wasted 4 years , realizing that the land is infertile and is not worth tilling . So again he jumped for the search of distant lands. He fought once , he fought twice , while just on the verge of winning , for some unfathomable reason ( to him) he lost it .

Thats the story of a king who is still on a lookout for his turf...where he finds the happiness .

I think the king should continue on his long voyage , without expecting too much but enjoying his adventures and adding them in his experiences. I read it somewhere that even if you fail more than once in the same task , it still adds something . Like an analogy - Once somebody asked Ghandhiji , why he keeps uttering RAM again and again , isn't it sufficient calling God once Gandhiji asked him why is there any need to climb 10 stairs to get to the top floor isn't one stair sufficient , similarily chanting God's name again and again raises the human higher in life. I drew this analogy with the king's life where he keeps fighting again and again irrespective of the defeats.

Sometimes i wonder what is success. Its like a jungle game when you r trying to catch a fox . If you are unable to snatch the prey you lose , otherwise fox wasn't good enough
I still remember burning midnight oil to get into some gud engg college . The fight paid off and i got through dce ....then there was 4 years of holidays ....Now that i am working ....ideally should be satisfied or at the most working even harder to climb the ladder or whatever but another set of targets are luring me to again pull my socks up.

you might have noticed that i wonder a lot :))))

Again something pinching my mind. There is a mootable question arising in the industry which can hamper the country's growth . ...related to bpo's
Its a thinking that is gaining ground nowdays that working in bpo's just stagnates your career as well as there are serious repurcussions on the health of the workers. Its a growing belief that bpo's undo what schools and colleges do to a student . We all are familiar with the work environment there. Its nocturnal shifts are actually against the basic nature....and serious digestive problems have been observed among the employees. Recently there was news that the sewage pipe of a bpo was jammed and when it was opened ...it was full of condoms. There is increasing unrest among the parents of young bpo workers about the growing YOYO culture.
Its an issue industry must respond and rectify if necessary , quickly because bpo boom is one of the thriving industry of india and we should not let it meltdown just like that. One of my suggestions is that bpo management should take special concerns in developing the young turks joining the industry. This way they would understand their responsibilties even more instead of partying from the seemingly easy money , treated as pocket money. Also this would boost their career prospectives .This mindset can be revamped only by increasing their skillset and making the admission procedure even more regressive ( accepted that their is always shortage of candidates for this growing sector but atleast making them somewhat standardized would make the chosen candidates hold some value after they leave their jobs)
It is always mutual give and take for both sides ....

Marry her

" Why not marry a SC girl "

Absolutely wild , but an interesting , worth pondering idea. With the reservation in all the so called oppressed categories ...why not marry a girl of SC . Now thats what a vision is all about . In business we acknowledge a leader who is able to predict the future trends and that is exactly what i am trying to achieve here....and why not ......I mean we should all start thinking about our generations to come ....lets be lovely FATHERS and shower our blessings and be ready to sacrifice anything for our sons and daughters. Taking it further marrying to an IAS ( ofcourse a SC ...General girl wont marry you, after being an IAS ) would be beneficial for you so that ur children automatically gets the golden certificate and u dont need to worry about them.If you cannot defeat them join them .

See how destructive a wrong decision can affect not only yours but the whole country's thinking capabilities ( like mine) and credit goes to shri ***** Arjun singh JI( sarcasm intended)

This sunday I watched INDIAN ...our very own sunny paaji (police officer)...where he thrashes all the politically leaders coming to his office and then respectfully accompanies them to the door. There is a direct relation between the length of the skirt in fashion to the boom in share prices .....oh sorry .....its an inversely dependency.:)))))
They say shorter are the skirts in streets signifies market is bullish and longer ones blankets the market.
It actually does make some sense...when its cheerful weather or economy is booming and there is a feel good factor ...remember india shining ( proved to be pestilential for NDA) there is more probability for the buyers to invest and pull the market . So on bright sunny day therefore women tends to be more stylish , wearing short dresses. Actually its a study connecting vague phenomenons but asking the right questions. So the fashion industry can actually head the economy because it can single handedly bring cheery among the investors. So its all in the hands of beautiful women to control the prices of stocks dipping these days , which is giving sleepless nights to the finance ministry. Here is my 2 cents , what gubernatorial ( i always wanted to use this word ) acts can turn off the bearish state of the markets. Send some blondes wearing mini ( OKAYeeee make them wear micro skirts) around the dalal streets, that would upbeat the moods of everybody there even if it is a fake one .....that day market would certainly gain 1000 points and i can sell all shares making massive profits.
After 1 year you there would be another scam on headlines ...bigger than roopalben ...courtesy yours truely..hehe...raging artificial price hike by making dalal street...a live ramp show
Taking one step further , plan is to get the whole fashion industry and the equity market together and slowly if the business works , opening a television channel covering it live.....we can even diverse our company's portfolio into retailing designer skirts :))))))))00

ANYONE INTERESTED IN THE BUSINESS PLAN.......PLS LEAVE A COMMENT

nose poker

Funny things always happens around me and i am the actor (in the lead role) for all the stupid mishappenings . Yesterday was yet another day when my gaucheness was at its best. One of my college friend neelu , has come from US for his training. So we all went to see him in CP Pizza Hut . Although i hate those junkies ( pizza and all) but i arrived late and they were comfortably settled when i reached. We ordered for a large pizza (exotica) , garlic bread and fanta( for me).
Sipping my fanta, talking about old times , recollecting those cherished moments in college, discussing each others future plans ( professional as well as personal :)
Suddenly out of no where my lost mind again starts to rise from ashes , regaining my lost form of being and performing most weird acts, i forgot about the simple machine which helps us to do our work with less effort ( yoo i still remember the defination of simple machine ) . For those wondering which simple machine am i talking about ....... its A STRAW and my dexterity with it that i poked it in my nose.......sounds funny ......but i have an alibi ........lost in my college days and forgot about our simple machine, For a a sec it remained stuck in my nose and it did hurt. But no big issue for me , i threw the straw and finished my fanta sipping from the glass, putting more effort without my simlpe machine :)))))
This is one of the many anecdotes and others perhaps nobody will ever come to know because i am going to restrain myself vomitting out here.

tipping point

Lets track a theory named ' TIPPING POINT ' by Malcolm Gladwell, which enlightens us with some cracks and insights in sales and marketing , also in general the human behaviour. It ellaborates on the issues of epidemics , no not of contagious diseases but in general the spreading of news ..any news...by word of mouth.
This world is divided into 2 categories ...1st are those who connects others and 2nd ( no points for guessing that) those who does not belong to 1 st category ( hehe) .
Lets call the category 1 people connectors which can be subdevided into mavens, connectors, and salesman. These are the people who sell the ideas of marketing intentionally or unintentionally to the mass public. These connectors are those are very social, are up to date about almost everything in the market , and most importantly ....knows how to make others interested in them so that everybody listens to what they have got to say.
We all notice people who have tons of knowledge , knows all about how to make the best deal ,and are always eager to share it with others . These are the market watchers who keeps the companies on their toes, otherwise the average public doesn't really care about the minute price variances. Then there are those who have enough information but still incapable to start the promotional epedemics. Here comes the importance of salesman ( remember the classificaton) . They can make you believe almost anything and the most important point to remember is that the product they endorse must have substance in it otherwise they would loose their appeal. There are lots of studies been done to understand the mavens , connectors and salesman of the society because they hold the key to a successful marketing campaigns.

rule 49

I am belong to one of the millions who whole heartedly wants to see our nation thriving in all the fields, excelling in business and no doubt we are on the right track. BUTTTTTTTTTTT ( pardon for the double entendre ) our respected politicians doesn't feel the same. There are a few wolves among the sheeps who put themselves above the nation. For those chosen ones there is a perfect provision in our constitution. Our constitution is a one of those flawless biblical reference which has answers and solutions for all the problems. Agreed it can be manipulated by unscrupulous opportunists , but surely provides ways to give brick for a brick. Of the several provisions there is one RULE 49 in the conduct of elections which provides all the frustaed denizens of this great democracy to retaliate against all the malaise in the politics.
According to this if a citizen feels that during elections no candidate is appropriate for his vote , his vote would be counted and would accumulate in a seperate category i.e rejecting all the candidates standing in the elctions . It can be one those boosters for all the citizens to take part or be a part of the elctions even if they feel that nobody is worthwhile to run the nation. It can help political parties to undestand that they should give party tickets to those thieves and gangsters or else public is going to make the elections null and void. Its another way for different classes of people ( here i am not dividing the people on religions or caste ...there can be different ways to classify and one of the ways is means of livelihood ) to protest agains any wrongdoing by the politicians in order to get quick votes.
Let us again concentrate on the reservation bill in higher institute. It is an impasse which would take some stern , daring decisions from the ministers to solve it. Now here is what i intend to do after this provision becomes an act. The parties would be force to rethink their agendas when 50 % of the voters would refuse to supprot any candidate.Taking my vision one step further , imagine before elections political parties would debate openly as to what is acceptable to common public , otherwise they would feel the heat , after spending crores of money there would be total rejection.

Lets stop here , i am going for the lunch

Its one of the most entertaining, humorous stories i have ever heard . There was a lawyer who had his very expensive cigars insured with a company . Guess what the insurance was against fire. So this lawyer ployed for earning quick bucks , just smoked his cigars and filed a case for the insurance . The court very well acknowledged that the claim is frivolous , but the object having been insured against fire , company have to bear the consequences. The company , instead of fighting long court battles agreed to pay the lawyer 15000 $ .
:) But they filed a case against him for arsonist tendency , that is setting an insured object on fire. The lawyer was imprisoned for 24 months and fined 25000 $.This is what i call- you reap what you sow

Reading 'GOOGLE story' about this marvelous true entreperneurs...Larry page and sergey brin
who set out to change the rules of the game . I have never noticed their LOGO on the home page where they keep playing with it and call it doodle. Their persistence to avoid throwing their homepage to the advertisers which could earn them in the short run. For them its not about money but their passion , to create world's best search engine.

SOMETHING NEW : They are planning to launch a service where their subscribers can match their genes...yes they are catching up in biotechnology where the users can learn about their genetic behaviour ...though i don't have sufficient details .

Another bitter pill

I am one of the millions , belonging to the suffering class who are moaning over the decision made by one of the opportunistic , savvy politician who has played the dice to hit the jackpot when his retirement was being designed. ARJUN SINGH , stunned the whole of india especially his own party members, by bringing the law for increasing the SC/ST OBC quota in all the govt. institutions to 50%. The argument given is that they are following the constitution . I know i would be repeating the same old reasons for not endorsing this quota gimmick, but i feel we as educated persons need to weigh the situation not driven by the emotions but with rationality.
I feel it is our duty to propagate the right approach with whatever medium possible and i intend to do just that.
First the quotas has always been the famous ploy to lure the ST's to become the vote banks of those unethical politicians. What they need to realize is that ultimately it would be the backward people themselves who will be the sufferer even if the quota law passes . They can just gain the entrance to the premeir institutions but their goal is to provide a decent carreer out of the education which would land them to the competitive private industry where the survival is not based on your cast , creed or religion but solely on performance and if they don't have it in them they won't be able to survive. The same holds true for all the genral category people. So the idea is that govt. can't bring quota in the jobs (i suspect even thatis also waiting to be rolled out) but even if that comes out they non performers would always be the liabilities to the employer.
Instead they should boost the primary level education in the backward areas. I have seen my kaamwaali bai sending her children to school. So point is that to promote education not creating the shortcuts because i believe there aren't any. There have been sufficient successes but a lot still left to be done. and we should not let such mean politicians to hinder our progress as a nation. I sincerely want to ask everybody please give your 2 cents against this law. Ultimately there are no profiteers but OUR RESPECTED ARJUN SINGH ( you ****************)

From coal to diamond

'A diamond is nothing but a piece of coal who did well under pressure'

This is for al those people who having been victimized or observed the corruption , assails the democracy and supports somewhat improbable or out the box solution to the malaise stating that solution is dictatorship. I don't support the idea but perhaps it was worth mulling before i started with ' Argumentative indian' by Amartya sen. A wonderful holistic picture of india explaining all the knotty points covering the centuries old history.
democracy really gives you the independence of putting your views with any hindrance. Remember the emergency raised by indira gandhi . The picture appeared rosy initially but with time the public realized and started missing their rights and the result was that congress was out ( thrashed is the right word) in the next election . Thats the real power of democracy , that one vote you carry . But still needs to explore ways to reach out to common man and make him realize the difference between the biscuit earned and cheese to lure the mice.

Arguments are the only ways to reach to a fruitful conclusion and everybody irrespective of his position , maturity , knowledge ( i have changed the parametrs from caste , sex, religion which were there in the book) should be given a fair chance. I would say that sometimes its not the speaker who provides the solution but the listener who generated a conclusion out of the arguments. Its all about about active listening.

Above ideas are not from the book per se but generated by me after reading it.
The great history kings like Ashoka and Akbar , rising above the religion factor and appointed people from different cultures in their court to advise him. Some times we need heterodoxy which will become a new benchmark or the rule to be followed in future. Those can be rebellious but who knows we might miss one copernicus who discovered the right planetary movements around the sun rather than the earth which was concurred by the church in those times.

finished 'The Goal'

last week i finished this wonderful novel where the reconteur ellaborates the life of a plant manager , considering his professional and personal life (both in a mess), and how he manages to turnaround the face of his plant doing full justice to the personal needs of his family members. It kindles a thought to prioritize your life, agreed work, in todays fast pacing competition, is demanding, but we need to maintain a balance .I mean if you stay late one day in the office , try and compensate that by atleast going out with your family. Only when there is peace on all fronts of your life , will you be able to sustain and further excel in your professional life.
Besides 'The Goal' makes you think on those simple ,direct but sometime illusive methods of doing work

For some last few weeks , I myself am staying late in the office . There is a thought that sometime i feel that IT employees are exploited. These are well paid jobs, but there no denial to the fact that people start suffering from diseases in their young age. We see many of our peers staying late in the office and highly disturbing that they are praised my the managers for working late. What they don't realizis that besides putting themselves in danger, they unnecessarily put pressure on other employees to stay late , at times even when that is not required . In such situations when such employees become managers then they by default assume or expect everybody to stay late.
One genuine reason can be that project is actually demanding, then also why is the planning of that project not questioned. It is conspicuous that somewhere the time and resources required mismatches. The reason for such mismatches is perhaps our (indians) sticking to low end or mostly outsourced services. There is a need to shift from low cost jobs to high end , high quality products, and also to change our mentality TO WORK LATE

India hitting the century

Last day of the 3rd test match between india and england , and india did a marvellous job making 100 runs all out. our greatest players supposedly recognised as world's greatest batsmen...rahul dravid, sachin tendulkar and other deities of the sports world went away with a sublimity..........whole indian team supposed to have best batting line up and all wickets down for 100.......isn't that brings us an awe

I propose a solution which perhaps might sound a bit uncompromising but can prove effective to straigthen up the visible laxation in some of the senior successful players. The reason for such slack attitude towards the game , the passion for which is garguntuan in the whole nation, is the endorsements given by the advertisements , the immense limelight they get in media and a bit of politics that gives them preference over a relatively better plyer but less connections. My idea to restrain every player from earning through any source other than the match fee after say 3 years in the team, just like the MP's are not allowed to hold any profit making position ( incidently this is also in the news over the forced resignation of jaya bachchan....where sonia gandhi is getting spiralled in her own web) . Taking the idea further they may be allowed to get into advertisements after the prescribed ban (say of 2 years) only after considering their performance in the last 5 years and the moment the slide their endorsements should be cut. I agree that this is not a solution which is permanent , but atleast this would bring a sense of insecurity among the players , and this very sense can push them to expand their boundaries.

today reading my payslip for the financial year 2005-06 , calculating the taxable income , realized that i could have saved 2,500 more from going into the govt kitty . I have started investing in stocks these days and there is one learning from the experience that everything there is speculative , especially in the bull run these days when market is overvalued (according to various economists whose studies reveal that today our GDP stands at par with that of US 70 years ago whereas our market sensex comparable to that of them just 15 years ago) .
*TIP*: get hold of ranbaxy and ivrcl ....market is bullish on these two ( wondering how am i able to predict the trends well....remember speculations....so these tips can go wrong)

i read a news 2 days back that there is a man who survived for over 400 days without food , under the US doctors , just on sun rays and declares that its rays have sufficient nutrition required for the body.....i was thinking if that is possible then the discovery can stop the world to a standstill . I feel instead they should relieve those who doesn't have any work that day. this way both the sides would be much happier. But i guess i am talking in favour of my side got to see their perspective , one reason can be that one cannot predict the needs of an employee , so they insist everybody's presence. still things can be smoother if there is more involvement.
We often have this perception that managers are good for nothing , they just sit around , surf the ent , give orders and go home. But realizing the responsibilities of the whole project and all the planning that goes in a project, no doubt there has to be right person up there to make the venture successful.

world of stealth

worlds first unintentional (perhaps) radio wave absorbing fighter plane Horten Ho 229,built in 1930's by germany which had plywood outerskin making it possible to remain invisible on radars. though their range as in radius was miniscule, with maximum flying speed about 900 km/hr. there were little developement in the stealth till 50's , then with the cold war beginning to cover the world affairs , US came with magnum opus including SR-71 Blackbird,B-2 bomber which gave them liberty or a kind of fundamental right to hover above anybody's territory with being detected. these stealth planes actually satiate humans need to become invisible , espial from all detections. Try and recall the movie Mr India where the protaganist enjoys the invisibility. Latest on the repertoire (i had to look into the dictionary for its spelling) is AURORA , still not declared officially , but observes around the famous area-51 in nevada desert in US witnessing the presence of the supremo of the fighter world which can fly upto 6 Machs that is around 7500 km/hr ( that fills me with awe , a kind of amazement for the technology) , which is literally unfathomable in the sky by any present radar technology, and with that speed any existing missile can't dream to catch it.

Can continue on stealths, but need to go to the lab . He complained to his mother , for the tough situations he was going through. Mother didn't replied to him immediately and took him to the kitchen. she put 3 pots on the flame and started boiling, egg and coffee beans into those pots. after about 15 minutes she asked the man to taste all the three and what does he observe. In his mental anguish he couldn't make anything out it. Then mother tried explaining him that there are 3 kinds of person in this world, 1st kind like carrot who seems to be hard from outside but in testing time give up their hardness and become soft and weak,2nd kind like egg who are real soft, tender and fragile but in boiling water(hardship) become hard, tough and strong willed. 3rd kind are like coffee beans who turns the dark, tough circumstances into their favour just like coffee beans which imparts the aroma and flavour to the boiling water. These are the people who adjusts their rudder with the direction of the wind , faces the hell and blooms heaven out it.

Happy Long one!
Thought provoking speech by Azim Premji At the 37th Annual Convocation 2002, IIM, Ahmedabad."While change and uncertainty have always been a part of life, what has been shocking over the last year has been both the quantum and suddenness of change. For many people who were cruising along on placid waters, the wind was knocked out of their sails. The entire logic of doing business was turned on its head. Not only business, but also every aspect of human life has been impacted by the change. What lies ahead is even more dynamic and uncertain. I would like to use this opportunity to share with you some of our own guiding principles of staying afloat in a changing world. This is based on our experience in Wipro. I hope you find them useful.

First, be alert for the first signs of change. Change descends on every One equally; it is just that some realize it faster. Some changes are sudden but many others are gradual. While sudden changes get attention because they are dramatic, it is the gradual changes that are ignored till it is too late. You must have all heard of story of the frog in boiling water. If the temperature of the water is suddenly increased, the frog realizes it and jumps out of the water. But if the temperature is very slowly increased, one degree at a time, the frog does not realize it till it boils to death. You must develop your own early warning system, which warns you of changes and calls your attention to it. In the case of change, being forewarned is being forearmed.

Second, anticipate change even when things are going right. Most people wait for something to go wrong before they think of change. It is like going to the doctor for a check up only when you are seriously sick or thinking of maintaining your vehicle only when it breaks down. The biggest enemy of future success is past success. When you succeed, you feel that you must be doing something right for it to happen. But when the parameters for success change, doing the same things may or may not continue to lead to success. Guard against complacency all the time. Complacency makes you blind to the early signals from the environment that something is going wrong.

Third, always look at the opportunities that change represents. Managing change has a lot to go with our own attitude towards it. It is proverbial half-full or half empty glass approach. For every problem that change represents, there is an opportunity lurking in disguise somewhere. It is up to you to spot it before someone else does.
Fourth, do no allow routines to become chains. For many of us the routine we have got accustomed to obstructs change. Routines represent our own zones of comfort. There is a sense of predictability about them. They have structured our time and even our thought in a certain way. While routines are useful, do not let them enslave you. Deliberately break out of them from time to time.

Fifth, realize that fear of the unknown is natural. With change comes a feeling of insecurity. Many people believe that brave people are not afflicted by this malady. The truth is different. Every one feels the fear of unknown. Courage is not the absence of fear but the ability to manage fear without getting paralyzed. Feel the fear, but move on regardless

Sixth, keep renewing yourself. This prepares you to anticipate change and be ready for it when it comes. Constantly ask yourself what new skills and competencies will be needed. Begin working on them before it becomes necessary and you will have a natural advantage. The greatest benefit of your education lies not only in what you have learnt, but in working how to learn. Formal education is the beginning of the journey of learning. Yet I do meet youngsters who feel that they have already learnt all there is to learn. You have to constantly learn about people and how to interact effectively with them. In the world of tomorrow, only those individuals and organizations will succeed who have mastered the art of rapid and on-going learning.

Seventh, surround yourself with people who are open to change. If you are always in the company of cynics, you will soon find yourself becoming like them. A cynic knows all the reasons why something cannot be done. Instead, spend time with people who have a "can-do" approach. Choose your advisors and mentors correctly. Pessimism is contagious, but then so is enthusiasm. In fact, reasonable optimism can be an amazing force multiplier.

Eighth, play to win. I have said this many times in the past. Playing to win is not the same as cutting corners. When you play to win, you stretch yourself to your maximum and use all your potential. It also helps you to concentrate your energy on what you can influence instead of getting bogged down with the worry of what you cannot change. Do your best and leave the rest

Ninth, respect yourself. The world will reward you on your successes. Success requires no explanation and failure permits none. But you need to respect yourself enough so that your self-confidence remains intact whether you succeed or fail. If you succeed 90 per cent of the time, you are doing fine. If you are succeeding all the time, you should ask yourself if you are taking enough risks. If you do not take enough risks, you may also be losing out on many opportunities. Think through but take the plunge. If some things do go wrong, learn from them. I came across this interesting story some time ago.
One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided the animal was old and the well needed to be covered up anyway it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey. He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and begin to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well and was astonished at! what he saw. With every shovel of dirt that fell on his back, the donkey was doing some thing amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over=20 the edge of the well and totted off! Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick is too not to get bogged down by it. We can get out of the deepest wells by not stopping. And by never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up!
Tenth, in spite of all the change around you, decide upon what you will never change: your core values. Take you time to decide what they are but once you do, do not compromise on them for any reason. Integrity is one such value. have contributed to our success, including our parents and others from our society.

All of us have a responsibility to utilize our potential for making our nation a better place for others, who may not be as well endowed as us, or as fortunate in having the opportunities that we have got. Let us do our bit, because doing one good deed can have multiple benefits not only for us but also for many others. Let me end my talk with a small story I came across some time back, which illustrates this very well
This is a story of a poor Scottish farmer whose name was Fleming. One day, while trying to make a living for his family, he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby bog. He dropped his tools and ran to the bog. There, mired to his waist in black muck, was a terrified boy, screaming and struggling to free himself. Farmer Fleming saved the boy from what could have been a slow and terrifying death. The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up to the Scotsman's sparse surroundings. An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out and introduced himself as the father of the boy Farmer Fleming had saved. "I want to repay you, "said the nobleman. " Yes," the farmer replied proudly. "I'll make you a deal. Let me take your son and give him a good education. If he's anything like his father, he'll grow to be a man you can be proud of." And that he did. In time, Farmer Fleming's son graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School in London, and went on to become known throughout the world as the noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of Penicillin. Years afterward, the nobleman's son was stricken with pneumonia. What saved him? Penicillin. This is not the end. The nobleman's son also made a great contribution to society. For the nobleman was none other than Lord Randolph Churchill, and his son's name was Winston Churchill. Let us use all our talent, competence and energy for creating peace and happiness for the nation".

my canine friend ..jeannie couldn't bear the cold wave in delhi ..wonder we humans just barely surviving at .2 C with atleast 5 layers of wool , and she with her thin hiresute and the animal machismo gave in to the winters which had already broken the 70 years record. she fell sick and vomit , and spitted some blood with it , and gave an almost nervous breakdown to my cousin ,who quickly asked me to accompany him to take her to the veterinary. and this is how i entered the world of canines. shepherds, boxors, labradors (my sweetu ), then the mixed breed which are yet to relate their genealogy. the assistant first trying to find any cue for a probable reason for her sickness, putting the thermometer in the odd place , where she is obviously resisting, but with 4 strong arms holding her she as left with no choice. declared she didn't have fever , but needs some energy serum. so she got pierced thrice but no frowning, she faced it like a man ....oh sorry like a bitch :)))))
lets increase the number baby

i am really finding hard to trace the whole year, i think i should start building a graph monthly or yearly to review my life

i am realising the importance of family, as such the bonding was their but never felt the importance . 2005 made me evaluate that they are invaluable. i have started listening to them more , empathizing with their needs, which sometimes goes too irritating but that is love in its purest form.

when you get time enjoy the moment , don't let it go for other trifling (appears important ) things. believe me each day have some new experiences and if not create one , i do miss these , need to push myself in future

now that my friends are away , realising the need to have one.....i read one of my C's (thats what he calls me but i can have my revenge here atleast) mail on the yahoo group...and the memories of golden (read college) days refreshed my mind

i think thats sufficient(another way of saying that i am exhausted thinking and intospection.....believe me it's really difficult for a person who has never given a single second to use it for this purpose.

i started reading a new novel "maverick" ....and the motif of this novel is really to push urself to the extremes , to take the path or road less travelled , in what you believe ( and i say thats important)

i wonder how many of you calling me didactic, i really want to adhere to them all through my life .

i got a thought to evaluate my progress for the last year . realizing and recalling my experiences , i think it would be a nice idea to pen down my observations of 2005
lets start numbering them and see what number do i reach

started proactivily taking on new things ...which earlier i tend to swerve away out of the fear of the unknown . but now intentionally get into them .wonder sometimes that tangling too much into unnecessary things .that is why learned says here has to be in balance . need to prioritize things infact that is an art i want to master. still long wat to go

lets accept it . there is always some jealousy nourished inside every soul. i think there amount increases sometimes . actually its not jealousy but advanced (way too much) stage of competitiveness. that vying with the world but sometimes blindly , not visualising the repurcussions. i think 90 percent of my friends in engg. agree to the fact that they opted for software and all just because of the above stated reasons and now eager to leave it . i must try to clear all disorientations and move towards the GOAL. to set all my energy unidirectionally.....because there is balanced (zero) force when random,,wish to make it unbalanced (see the irony into that word)

got to go but will continue with this in my next post

HAPPY NEW YEAR

@))^ thats 2006 (decoded) and i wish everybody a great year ahead

i went to rishikesh with my family . really enjoyed there ,did rafting and camping on the first day of the yearwhich forebodes that this whole year would fun, exciting ,new, adventurous . it was camping (be it be in the off season) that was a wholesome experience for us(with my two elder brothers). i really accept that initially we felt as if we have done a blunder coming there leaving our families into the cosy rooms, but as they say ' in the end it doesn't even matter' .....ya i know the song is in different perspective but i am giving it a new dimension , which is that whatever happ, happens for the good .
it was the heaven on earth, the green ganga water, its river bed with sand all around . as they say water and meditation are forever wedded . the serene beauty, sense of peace and loneliness
, the bonfire which was heating legs like like a frying pan but the cold waves of air freezing our upper body.
isn't it surprising that we indians are adopting all the wrong practices and forgetting our 5 thousand (traceable) culture. there i saw a german lady who has left evrything , knows much more than any pundits i know(forget about us) , preaches in sanskrit, teaches kathak to the local children. aren't we loosening ourselves a bit too fast , why is there a need leave our values a,d ethics , what we need is to amalgmate them with the western nimbleness..what i mean is we should have our own identity.
learning: adapt to new things but try gauge the version need to be downloaded . its not that the latest version is compatible with everybody. smartness is in try and look for the best for you.

i think i have deviated from my intensions of wishing you HAPPY NEW YEAR , but we can give this new year , a brand new old start with a smile :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
HAATH AAYA MUUN NA LAGAYA

i had this post ready last week only but some how didn't put it here .

PLEEEEEEEEEEEEZE the caption is one of those double entendre , my friends misinterpreted my motive or feelings while saying those words. lets start from the start. i went to simla with my friends at FSS , which constituted 3 girls , about which some of my friends were pretty excited (u know that those 4 years of engg inception of a dream ..infact the most cherished one , that is to have a girlfriend and many of my friends still striving to get one).
it was on the way back to delhi , when we were listening to a senti song , vidhi seeing channa emotional , just out of curiosity perhaps enquired for any reasons for his present state. while channa , if am correctly remembering , didn't utter a word , but it was yours truly who dared to speak , just couldn't stop myself pronouncing them . i had straight feelings , that on several occasions i missed the train ( i mean maal gaadi....hehe), but was interpreted wrong by them.
i am mentioning it because i don't have an escape because nishant ( he was also there) has already threatened me that if i don't do it , he would put up everything on dce yahoo group. i think it is better to go for this option as i wonder how many read my blog. see even if you have done something wrong don't let it known to too many people .
let me begin with building a caricature (no offenses please , they all are gems by heart) of all who went there with me

ankit goel (jheeenga)....... infact jheenga alias ankit
u might be wondering why such a name ....i thing he got the name courtesy to the famous jheegalala joke which all my learned friends must have listenend to. state of art creature...one and only...seriously he is a friend of all, frank, helpful, one of those who can laugh on himself, doesn't care for the company he is in(even if they are girls) but just continues with fun,but sometimes goes crude .

chetan channa
He has his own frequency...wants to have his daily alloted sleep ( that is minjimum 8-9 hrs) which he grabs one way or the other , even if that needs him to miss some of the hot places as the mall road, which was almost jam packed during the christmas time. he and his ipod likes to be alone ( only sometimes). i think he is a gadget freak....was the first one i know who ordered the latest wafer thin apple's wonder.

dwij
again he was the who brought fun , and laughter to our otherwise serious group of creatures( me included )............doesn't drink ..no smoke but always excited to bring its reference ......wonder why , perhaps to subjugate his desire to drink . ya he does booz sometimes but thats just occasionally. he has got the charms to make any talks lively, brings humour to almost everything........but noticed that sometimes he himself goes into seclusion, suddenly stops talking which makes everybody wonder whats wrong.

dheeraj
we are in the same group . i have never seen him having the boisterous laugh, but it was dwij and jheenga's jaadoo which made this grave serious types to a cheerful (on high node) on the trip

nishant
nothing to tell . have been with him for last 4 years now (same college)...admires his skills , because he managed all the schedules and arrangements, otherwiise we doles would have come back just strolling the mall road.rest ya he was pretty happy with the company ...no more elaboration . its still in a premature phase , allow it to develope aand then we will discuss it in detail. ya one more thing ...he has got a new name chiichora....and the origin only he can tell.

reena
aha i wonder that would bring a smirk to one of my friend's ( we all know him ...the great ....one and only......) . she lives in her own world . talk less ..to the point ...get the crux straight away...no jokes( gauging with my standards) . never new her too well in college ...perhaps she had her own coterie.

saurabh pathak
i never knew him well in college. came to know him better in FSS. has already left the company , got into STM. he cracked into texas and STM on the same day. and before going for the interview he knew it well that he will clear them that day. now that the sixth sense or call it height of confidence. i am remembering the famous quotes of ALCHEMIST ......when you dream of something , the whole universe conspires to help you realize your dream...MAKHTUB ( i wonder how many times i repeat the same lines ...i guess i am using them repeatedly in my postings)

sippy
she is a quiet , beautiful girl . speaks less but that belief was thwarted on the trip . this girl speaks a lot , laughs a lot , though due to some incomprehensible reasons got angry in between the trip...ofcourse not with me ( i hope)..... but returned to her true self ( with the million dollar smile)

vidhi
she knows all boys talk. really the more seasoned one...can laugh with you , crack a joke or 2 , needed her fathers approval for the trip ( in the beginning it was looking somewhat distant) but on the trip i came to know her well , she's an independent girl , sweet ( why i find all girls sweet??)

friends this list is alphabatical , just a cautionary step so that i can escape from being asked why i put the other's name first

i would do the same descriptive sketch off my college friends too.but that in another post
till then njoy
my idiosncrasy

i have a penchant towards language , and perhaps that is why i love to to read ideas which are average but communicated in style. i donno whether to go for that flagrant , high vocabulary language or concentrate more on lucid explanation of my thoughts. having said that you can mock on me when i tell you that my encounter with the word ' cancle' or is that 'cancel'. , thats what happened with me when i had to deposit a cheque for cancellation (ofcourse i updated my eruditeness later) . while writing the word which aroused compunctions over my myth of possessing atleast some basic knowledge of the language which we have been encountering more than our mother tongue.
i just checked my heading of this blog and found the spellings of idiosyncrasy wrong, which fortifies my inference that i need to write more , i need to read more, i need to know more....much more to come at power with the world.
i returned from simla on sunday night, i had a gala, but realized that i have no bone to have fun
all said in those few words , but still would be writing a post on the trip , perhaps a brief description of the characteristics ( what i have gathered in those 3 days) of all my friends who went to simla , would be a good idea. but that in another post .i have got work to do
na koi marta hai na koi marta

the famous quote from Gita..... and shrewedly been used by the culprits to evade from any sense of repentance. i got hold off its explanation from somewhere so lend me your ears ..oh eyes here.
yes its true that you can't kill the soul which is the real entity in all of us, nobody is harmed in the broader perspective by anybody's wrongdoing. does that mean as the Gita says that the culprits are free to do anything and everything , they are not deserving the blame , it is the cosmos power that instigates the urge to commit a crime. NO... point is that the intentions of wrongdoing gets the negative field around the doer of evil deeds and that is surely punishable.
i think our country is among the most corrupted in the world just because of the incomplete understanding of such great ideas. half knowledge is always dangerous.there are two ways of looking onto big thinkings.first is either you get down these great ideas on the platform we stand (with little knowledge) , or lift yourself to the level of the idea. the former is taken by escapist and latter the beginning of the making of a great soul. For thousands of years thinkers have integrated some great thoughts but somewhere we have not been able to digest it fully , hence we have deteriorated ourselves much more than those who doesn't even have its access.

today i read an interesting story that happened inthe marketing industry...i think this story can be a lesson for me.
in the pontiac division of GM.....when the model was launched
a complaint was lodged by one of the customer and the nature of the complain was rather unusual that anyboby would just mock it off. he told that whenever he used to go to the ice-cream parlour and buys the vanilla flavour, his car doesn't start for all the the other flavours it used to work fine . After a lot of scoffing one young manager took it seriously and looked into the matter . he found out thatfor the vanilla flavour there used to be a long queue, but for the rest of them service was pretty quick.all the research concluded that there was some problem with the fuel inject pipe , so the more time taken by the vanilla flavour , engine was knocking.
learning :- come what may never take anything light, there can be something yet to be undiscovered

AVUL PAKIR JAINULABDEEN KALAM AZAD

people thats his full name . recently i read his autobiography "wings of fire"
a man who through all his sheer hard work rose to become the first muslim indian president and beyond that became the inspiration for people like me.
let me quote some his writings
" before god trusts you with success , you have to prove yourself humble enough to handle the big prize"
learning: teaches you that your every act is worthed , doesn't matter it turns out to be a failure
which is our choice on the cheap but a decent place.
as usual the session started but ya A came already wet (i think 2-3 patiala) . i must commend his capacity , because i remember him going out of his senses (that was in 4th sememster) and blaming neelabh for all his failures(ofcourse that wasn't true ).
there were some signs of his being high. he spilled all the beer on the table , broke the glass but like every inebriated dude goads ' i am fine'

it was gud food , B told us about his passionate (i hope i am conveying the right meaning without using any inappropriate word) adventures on his official trip abroad , where he was accompanied by all his seniors (a job like this , i don't want anything else)

C (my darling) as usual the entertainer . no more words because i don't want to offend him in any ways.

after our stint at gola , we left for biryani ( at anand) . B and C were going there for the first time and they like the food but was too spicy for us .

now the anecdote which is the mother of all. B and C went to loo but there was a charge of Rs 1 for using it, so they both did it together (can you imagine that ....pls don't) . that surely saved us Rs 1 . now A was even smarter , he did it on the outside wall , with the message (dekho ghada moot raha hai) and told us that he actually drew his name with..................................................

awesome lecture ......can't beat that

by jo i was in the lecture hall and this whole post i wrote in there, here begins the tale

i am sitting , attending another soporific lecture on software testing . its one of our RBT's ( the mandatory training for all joinees) that means there is no escape from the heinous outcomes which are diminishing my creativity. the lecture room is overcrowded , that means HR really at its best by utilising (read overutilising) the company resources to the maximum. i don't know what to learn from it, but ya some nerds here are putting everything on paper perhaps they are preparing themselves to pass on the legacy to the future culprits (those who dare to join this fabulous company).
there is one thing i am enjoying . they say there is heaven in hell , u just need to have that vision . i have found one. i am sitting with one of my very beautiful friend and we both are in resonance in one thing......(u pervert) how to evade this session.
here are two girls who have started putting questions ( a ray of light for the spaeker) , but i am sure the lucid explanation(haha) they got in return to their queries , i can bet they would lose this newly found interest.
i was wrong incalling the speaker , a destroyer of our creativity..infact he is providing us ample time for honing our forgotten aesthetic endeavors. the person sitting besides me is busy sketching a duck , another one trying to explore into modern art that is incomprehensible atleast by me who has minimal aesthetic taste.
sorry i cannot describe the picture of the whole class , as i am sitting on the front desk ( ironically i am one of those backbenchers but stuck here due to the extra smartness by my other class mate who were able to occupy all the back seats , who says there are no clairvoyant in the modern world, they knew the denouement of this tragic lecture.
this often happens that i go far away from my subject. as i was telling you about the backbenchers , though there is no authentication of the fact but for sure having there eyes closed , they must be dreaming about bipasha or mallika. i guess i should not stretch the explanation further otherwise my rating would drop from PG to A.
buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzziness

lets begin the day with whetting my business know how. well today morning i read a wonderful article about the comparison on economy boom of the mid 90's and that of present. so i guess i should share some of my understandings with you all because it rarely happens that i understand the economic jargons and fundaes and that i have got some of them , how can i spare you . well the article touched upon some of the major changes that happened in 1991 under our present prime minister, manmohan singh as finance minister. few changes like the end of licence raj , though i still have doubts as to why or how licence system ended because we still need to pay a licencing fee as in telecom sector. anyways on comparing the present boom and analysing the vulnerability of it , it discussed few reasons of the stability of the bull run . first major reason is that though the growth rate of both the booms was on an average above 7 percent , which continued for 3 consecutive years , but the difference is that in inflation rate , which was hovering around 8 percent in 90's whereas at present it is below 5 percent. that shows that there is a balace in demand and supply. now in the past we had high import barriers which were regarded as the protective measure o the domestic industry, but actually was the root cause to the instability.let me explain why....
whenever there is shortage of supply , and unable to satiate the domestic demand , it marks in the increase of inflation. now in 90's when such conditions prevailed , the RBI had to increase the interest rates so as to curb the demand supply chain, which in turn led to pestilential effects on the industry which needs capital to raise its production.
but today as the import barriers are low instead of raising the lending rates , government can import the needed items and can supplement the demands.
but the catch is that there is a thin line between lowering the import barriers and protecting the domestic industry. as in the case of retail industry which is at crossroads whether to open the markets for foriegn players.
i am still a novice in my economic understandings . so please correct me if any of my above belief is fallacious
a long needed respite

it was a wonderful day out with my team yesterday
my first bowling experience , which i nearly missed winning , shooting,go-carting,pool (these pool sessions brought me some old good memories of the college days). food was gud and ya for all the Trunksucht ( hehe that means dipsomaniac) there was open bar with a collection that reminds me of college farewell. but apun ke liye sabh moh maaya

pathak just came to my seat . he too has got into TI and got the leaving approval from his manager. his experience has been comparatively smoothe as compared to others.

as i was returning from cafetaria i saw that our gatekeeper was wearing the reebock shoes original.now that made me filled with joy that the india shining campaign , which proved to the inception of the fall of BJP , showing and defying the the common opinion of its failure.

i am feeling a little weary, absolutely in no mood to work . perhaps i slept much more than required . isn't it an irony that sleep that relieves you from fatigue , if had it more, makes you tired. from tomorrow onwards i guess i should start reading some novels instead of getting into my quilt early night.

i can see my TL sitting browsing some music sites(he is a fantastic music player...he has his own rock band ,they perform shows ...so he's that god). i wonder how hes got me under him who is at square one in music, i guess that can be an opprtunity to grab some music jargons from him. but still need some time to open up with him.

while talking to one my friends , suddenly i recalled one of the dilberts adam scotts thought
that we computer engineers are the MOST SEXY men on earth in the present times. by sexy i mean the most preffered ones.years ago sexy were those who could drop dead an antelope with one strike because their probability of surviving was greatest(being stronger) . today we have that advantage. besides there is another reason that girls would want us ....our patience that we develope over the years listening to those soporific lectures(GOLU) . we are good listeners and thats exactly what you need to be an uxorious husband and have a successful married life.
they can watch you for hours without uttering a word ( thats real humor but all my friends can certainly relate to it)

i hold scepticism over this theory because first of all most wanted are the managers who can go out with their families on the pretensions of official work making their juniors work double shifts.
also they can listen to you still ignoring your demands (of being overloaded)
but still until i am working as an engineer dilbert's idea sounds good.

just an idea . please forgive me if any of the above scrap has offended you . after all i don't have any of those filters for my crude thoughts
another musing

i am back from mumbai but will tell u abt that later
first things first ..another thought whose instigator is my one of my friend.
he has got into TI .
as i was talking to him today morning he told me that he is feeling guilty that he used office resources for his personal purpose and u will be even more surprised to know that he was feeling that because he made 5-6 telephone calls from office
isn't it astonishing...how can anybody feels that and i tell u that he really meant that because he is one of those guys who do no nonsnse talks.
now that he is leaving to bangalore he applied for resignation but our smart (mean) managers don't want such a valuable resource and trying to defer his NOC
anyways he is startled to find that how come they treat him after his 6 months of sincere work
he assumed to be treated humanely but rather being treated as a mere resource
this is an irony that we all want to be an asset for the company but in the end we want that with a somewhat compassionate treatment
he (me too) still to learn that this world is full of **** people ( there i meant mean and shit)
here i proved that *************************** stars have such powers to extract those abstract ,deep inside, pervert minds
WHAT AM WRITING HERE HUUUUUAAAAAAAAAA
LET ME FIRST SWITCH OFF THE MUSIC

another random thought is coming to me . Here it goes......
have you ever observed that when water evaporates , it leaves a trail . now again pour some water and it will take the same path . similarily we all tend to react in the same manner
in difficult situations . i call this ATTITUDE , which is ingrained in us and the process is dynamic . you can also call it our values which we inherit from our environment.
my point is that we constantly need to upgrade our versions to act and not react . i do know that i am not on the right track .
HURRAY I HAVE GOT A MAIL THAT WE HAVE A TEAM PARTY TOMORROW AT 32ND MILESTONE SO NO MORE MOURNING AND WILL PARTY HARD IF NOT type='text'>akshardham replacement of taj mahal

simply exquisite ...absolutely no match....marvellous

these were the reactions of the visitors i was hearing when i was trying to be a peeping tom , no no simply overheard them
this saturday i visited the new akshardham temple , with my parents . let me give you a brief of my tour to the temple
the temple has been dedicated to swami narayan ( a sage named neelkanth) who lived in chapaiya , somewhere near ayodhaya in 18 century .there are some authentic sculptors , around 1108 pillars ,each has its own motif , precisely 108 gajendre(elephants) carved out of redstone,.actually in hindu mythology 108 figure is supposed to be sacred . u will agree to it if you recall that there 108 names of durga ,108 names of shivji.
apart of all that it has the most modern picture halls ( much better and much bigger than our PVRs ) . the premises have a seperate space for the first timers (particularly tourists ) where they maintain museums which are equipped with robots (ya you heard me right) which are enacting with proper gestures showing a whole range of skits depicting the life of swami narayan
it has a water boat ride which runs into a cave , and our indian history is revised as old as 5000 years . actually the cave depicts through puppets glorifying our forgotten history of which every indian should be proud of .
all in all a great experience . i wish to revisit the temple again
ok time to catch my type='text'>no work

out of ambiguity.....no work......introspection
this is my current status.just browsing over for some gud blogs and found blog by ADAMS SCOTT , the DILBERT guy and with the car you are getting a plane. he has put his famous book GODSDEBRIS online. i have downloaded it and hope to begin with it today .will get a feel of actually riding on two books(zen and art of motorcycle) together

the other day i had the honour of discussing or rather being the spectator to my friend's(pushkar) philosophy. before actually throwing that on you let me introduce this chap who i think lives in two worlds - one which i allow you all earth residents to share ( haha .....i feel like god ...ya the punchline from bajaj enticer ad) and the other which only he owns and i doubt whether anyone would like to dwell. i know its a bit complex to describe this being but thats the way he actually is but really admire him with how deeply he believes in what he thinks.how often you find such persons who dont need others acquiesced to his views
coming to his perceptions , its difficult to find the fountainhead of the discussion
but let me try.....
whatever we cherish for one day or the other we are bound to get hold of those dreams . the time taken to achieve them are in direct proportion to degree of coveter for it
let me explain the more we desire of something , more we work towards achieving it
uptill here its simple to permeate through an average amount of grey matter
but from now onwards it starts to beat your brains
the same logic is valid for a life as well .......that means you are born this way because you had longing for few things in your last birth which you couldn't achieve.so you are born with the present personality to actually realise those unfulfilled dreams
now this actually converges with our notion isn't it

think about it and it seems so rational but this acceptance is from my side and i guess i don't have that questioning mind ( rather acceptance is my trait )
if you find any of the conclusions fallacious do tell
bye for now
In the END IT DOESN"T MATTER

does it....as life progresses day by day ,hour by hour ,min by min (now lets not go into seconds)
i am realizing how much i have missed ...the several opportunities cued but miscued for the fear of unknown ..actually this fear of unknown is the greatest hindrance in my developement as a person i strive to be but never been able to thrive ( i hope that formation is right .....hehe)
but really putting my efforts to break the ice , getting into that abyss of unknown

today just by chance i read neelu's blog , felt happy and sad after that
happy for getting an insight(ya i love to do that especially to bright people and believe me he is one of the most influencing friends i have) of his dreams , feelings , sentiments . people like him are successful because they always endeavor for more and by more i mean honing themselves as a person to become a persona everybody (like me) inspired by.
i wonder how would neelabh react after reading this...but really i wish to emulate his perseverence
SAD because he is feeling lonely there but i know as it goes "you can have it all but you cannot have it all at once"...so parag u got to perspire to have it all

i re-reading " zen and the art of motorcycle maintainance" hardcore philosophy
the author relates his sojourn to mountains , to lifes of successful people where density of air gets thinner as you go up in life , one slip and you fell into that deep canyon
there where there is no congestion ..scarcely populated, at each step life challenges you ,where people below you waiting to pull you down (mentally as well). So whats the solution ..author says dont dwell onto anything too deep that having been deprived of, results in imploding you from within.take the things as they come , work for it ..work really hard but learn to take things lightly
as GEETA says "karm kar phal ki ichha mat kar"
IN THE END IT DOESN"T MATTER...wow atlast i am learning to justify my ambigous titles
me -1000 rupee note

i read a story which inspires me to think big which in turn brings loathe from within , because my hit ratio for any task seems to be below average( less than .5)

but the story actually gives you a learning that is hard to to defy

story goes as follows

a person while lecturing his pupil took out a 1000rs note and asked the audience that who among them wants that note. everybody raised their hands . he then crushed the note in his hand and again asked the same question .again everybody wanted the note . he then spit on the note .again people were ready to have it.
moral of the story ......no matter how much u hav failed , how much u have been besmirched by his misfortune , his value as a person does not degrades.

CONCLUSION: from here i can only go up

enough of this stimulation to my />the title i have chosen is something we all need to give a minute but unfortunately we tend to skip it almost daily . u will appreciate after reading this , but please read it with total honesty(this ,call it a curse for those who have it, in todays materialistic ,me first world. and this e-coli bacteria which is a helpful bacteria, honesty i mean ,can be found somewhere deep inside youbut the depth to unearth varies from person to person)
wow.. its very difficult to control your thoughts and put them in words but after all this is what i am here for..lets get back to the topic

have you ever felt jealous with your brother's achievement .i know its something sacrilegious but let me have ur feedbacks
today my cousin (just 2 years elder than me ) bought a new accent viva..a silver jet to be run on road.i really need to be happy for him , somewhere i am actually but here is miss J coming into picture to which this director have no control on (great isnt it..this relation)
what am i doing here. i really need to take control over my emotions and need to learn that few things have no tablets to have a panacea but there is one homeophathy(your composure) that can relieve you from the disease but takes sometime.

i really wish that this jealousy turns into zealousy to work hard in life to earn everything i am now jealous about.
i guess there is definately something turning in my life and for the better.

i conclude with the favourite quote for every type='text'>I AM BACK>>>>

u know its very difficult to be in this business..i mean blogging , specially for a gemini (these people dont share much with others and i would say that there is one side even they dont know ,exists) but with constant suggestions and readings few other blogs i am understanding that blogging can be a good habit to develope .though i didnt made to any b schools (not even cleared a single written) i gather that i really lack in soft skills , besides that i need few good , constructive pasttimes and i guess nothing is better than blogging. so here i am giving it another try and hope i carry on this time.

well today was funday . theory exams are over and i was bored in just 2 days sitting at home . went to college to give a ppt on my project( ftp client server program), though just taken the code frm a friend . u may wonder and mock about my engg. skills ,but this is the way i am always running frm technical part....irony of life that i am a computer engg. ...i can see a smirk on ur face.its just the destiny taking its course and i have no role to play in it ...isn't it a nice way to put things on ur side.
i hav always dreamt about being the kingpin of the world around me but everytime ending up an average completer (ya i always am able to complete everything i take up, with god's grace, though with the snail's pace).

i need to learn how to end blogs, this is ending in total abruptness
FIRST MEETING

Its my first attempt to write and frankly very difficult to express what i feel.i know the importance of first impression but please bear with any contradictions and mistakes .

here it begins .Me parag.....

last novel i read was ATLAS SHRUGGED by ayn rand.so lets start with
its thinking(or should i call it philosophy) with which i have been really impressed.

first things first lets talk about sex.please dont take me wrong .believe me you will admire it

it is believed that sex is a physical capacity which functions independently of one's mind or choice.but in fact a man's sexual choice is the result of his fundamental convictions . sex is the most profoundly selfish of all acts,an act whichhe cannot perform for any motive but his own enjoyment.he will always be attracted to the women(deliberatly plural) who reflects his deepest vision of himself ,the women (again u dare ) whose surrender permits him to experience a sense of self esteem .the man who is proudly certain of his own values, will want the highest type of woman (be serious ) he can find, woman he admires strongest and the hardest to conquer (i mean making her love you).
the man who is convinced of his own worthlessness will be drawn to a woman he despises because she will reflect his own secret self. it gives him a momentary escape from his damn moral code.

friends everything above is ayn rand's but one things mine .its acceptance...

pondering over it for some days that its really true.
i am not declaring that i have started following it already but there is always a beginning and its that for me .

enough for today going for lunch..
<img width='1' height='1'
